"Elections have consequences."  That is what Mike Huebsch told me in early 2009 regarding the 2008 election.  It was a simple yet profound three-word sentence because everyone who hears it thinks back to what the consequences are from their own individual perspective.

I understand that it makes sense to have some limitations on campaign financing to make sure our public officials are not bought and paid for by special interests, however, forcing taxpayers to foot the bill for campaigns is not a good idea in my opinion.  It would infuriate me if my tax money was being directed toward a candidate who I totally disagreed with.
