Congress
Thanks for a bit of Congressional Courage/The Power of a Minority
The power of a minority/proof of a prediction. There are 20 courageous congressmen who are not having a deal that is all smoke and mirrors and does nothing to solve our financial crisis, which is really a national bankruptcy. Without 217 votes, no budget, no deal can be had. Last year, there was only Ron Paul and maybe 4 or 5 others who might have voted this way.
Michael Krsiean Threatens to Sue me for Having an Opinion
What does it say about a man's character when he threatens to sue someone for stating an opinion on a blog web site? Is it the kind of character that belongs in the House of Representatives and responsible for upholding the U.S. Constitution (even the First Amendment)? Here is an email I received this morning from Michael Krsiean, independent candidate for Congress, in response to the opinion I published last night.
Michael Krsiean Crosses the Line
To the right is a screen shot from one of Michael Krsiean's web pages. I found the link to this page from his Facebook wall. On the page he is promoting his bumper sticker design and t-shirts. We'll never know because Krsiean isn't following the law that mandates candidates must disclose that kind of information when a c
When Liars Say Republicans Don't Have a Plan...
...feel free to point them to this blog post. House Republican leader John Boehner articulated the very simple plan a couple weeks ago. Two simple points that are apparently beyond the comprehension of the selfish, greedy, liberal/progressives who feel the need to control everything.
The American People are Awakening
I just had a wonderful conversation with a terrific lady who is interested in leading the way to get more Christians involved politically at the local level. She mentioned having 4 small kids and how hard it is to find the time but she is doing something anyway.
I thank God for people like her who are awakening to the disastrous path that our country finds itself on. I am so encouraged to hear that more and more regular folks are out there getting active. I have said for years that one of my favorite sayings is, "The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good people to do nothing." Well, evil, your day has come because a multitude of good people are ready to do something about the corruption and greed in Washington. I can't wait for November!
