SCOTUS 2nd Amendment Decision

Alexander Hamilton

"There is a certain enthusiasm in liberty, that makes human nature rise above itself, in acts of bravery and heroism."

Congress

I just had a wonderful conversation with a terrific lady who is interested in leading the way to get more Christians involved politically at the local level.  She mentioned having 4 small kids and how hard it is to find the time but she is doing something anyway.

I thank God for people like her who are awakening to the disastrous path that our country finds itself on.  I am so encouraged to hear that more and more regular folks are out there getting active.  I have said for years that one of my favorite sayings is, "The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good people to do nothing."  Well, evil, your day has come because a multitude of good people are ready to do something about the corruption and greed in Washington.  I can't wait for November!

A friend recently shared the following quote with me.  In his email, he attributes it to someone in the Czech Republic but regardless of its origin I felt it was worth sharing with you.  My analysis of these sentiments follows below.

My wife informed me that we received our 2010 US Census form in the mail the other day.  I instructed her that I want to be the one to fill it out because I will answer N.O.Y.B. to those questions that are, frankly, none of the government’s business.  When my wife asked me, "What’s the big deal about telling them how old you are?"  I replied, "It’s not just about telling them how old I am.  It’s the principle that the federal government is not our master and I want to make that clear to them.  We must re-define the relationship between the individual and the federal government."

Gee, it must be an election year.  Ron Kind is on a roll handing out our federal tax dollars (see his recent press release copied below) in his attempt to bribe voters.  He even voted recently to raise the debt ceiling so our nation can go even deeper into debt and print more worthless money to keep future handouts comng and ensure that future generations have to pay the bills.

The people of Massachussetts demonstrated on Tuesday that a Senate seat is not about any one man or his legacy. A senate seat is about representing the people. It's the people's seat. The person who occupies that seat had better listen to the people.

Well, the people have spoken. Scott Brown, with his old pickup truck, will be heading to DC at the will of the people of the Commonwealth of Massachussetts.

The Republican Revolution is growing some legs, my friends. It's growing legs.
