N.O.Y.B.

Attached below is a link to the scanned copy of a letter I received the other day from the Census Bureau. I usually don't have a problem taking part in the census but this will be the first year that it is being conducted while reporting directly to the White House instead of to Congress. In case you weren't aware of it, President Obama took it upon himself to make sure that the Census Bureau reports to him. This is a huge mistake and I can only assume he is doing it so that he can get his "community organizer," political fingers all over the data that will come pouring in and help him launch his re-election bid.

As a result of the President's bone-headed decision to politicize the census I will gladly receive the census this year so I can do my patriotic duty and give them the number of people in our household and answer, "N.O.Y.B." to the remaining questions: None Of Your Business.

I'm also disappointed in the wording of the message. As if we're all a bunch of greedy leeches. It sickens me that they think voters will fall for this kind of bribery. I personally do not want their federal dollars. I would rather keep my money when I EARN it. I guarantee that I would put it to better use than they ever will. Why should I be so quick to give them my tax dollars just so they can spend it on New York banks, government ownership of car companies, California wine makers, and Massachusetts hospitals? When did our nation become so obsessed with "getting our fair share" instead of rewarding those who provide the most value? It seems more and more like we're living in Bizarro World where bad is good, wrong is right, and hard workers are punished for their success.

First, everyone I know got

First, everyone I know got that letter. Why was it scan worthy? Unless you can read those foreign languages, that I am actually curious about.
Second, your paranoid delusions as to the president being able to get away with turning the census into some sort of campaign information...fundraiser?...I'm not even sure what to call it. Do you really think he could get away with it?

Thanks for your feedback

Jim, I thought the visitors to this site might be interested in seeing it in case they haven't received theirs yet. Plus, I wanted to document it for posterity so we can always look back to this period of our history to see where it all started to go wrong.

It's interesting that you chose to completely ignore the fact that the president has politicized the census by moving it into the White House.

Calling me names will not intimidate me into silence. I tell it like I see it and if you don't agree then so be it. Why do you have to resort to name calling just because you disagree with me?

I fail to see where I called

I fail to see where I called you a name.
