SCOTUS 2nd Amendment Decision

Patrick Henry

"The battle, sir, is not to the strong alone; it is to the vigilant, the active, the brave. ... [I]t is now too late to retire from the contest. There is no retreat but in submission and slavery! Our chains are forged! Their clanking may be heard on the plains of Boston! The war is inevitable -- and let it come! I repeat it, sir, let it come!"

A letter writer from Sparta recently launched a personal attack against congressional candidate Dan Kapanke in the Dunn County News.  Instead of discussing issues the writer chose to use false assumptions in an attempt to divert your attention and damage Dan Kapanke's integrity.

Instead of sinking to the Democrat's level of gutter politics I will instead stick to the issues. Here are just a few examples from Ron Kind's voting record:

  • He voted in favor of failed stimulus that helped government bureaucracies keep employees at taxpayer expense while the unemployment rate soared to record levels.
  • He voted in favor of bailouts that helped huge companies offer outrageous benefits to people who barely work while small businesses are forced to close.
  • He voted in favor of Cap and Trade that will cause our energy costs to increase more than they are today even though global temperatures are naturally cooling.
  • He voted in favor of increasing our nation's debt ceiling to over 14 trillion dollars which will force our kids and grand kids into debt before they are even born.

I believe these are the types of issues voters care about.  We want solutions to our nation's problems not pointless personal attacks. Dan Kapanke is a man of the people and is just the right person to help fix what Ron Kind and his colleagues have broken in Washington.

Don't just take my word for it.  Visit http://www.kapankeforcongress.com and meet with Dan Kapanke yourself to find out how he will represent you.
