21st Century Slavery
The title is my initial reaction upon learning that Obamacare was upheld by the Supreme Court.
I am stunned.
I thought for sure that the justices would actually read the Constitution and rule accordingly in this case but I guess they agree that we are now living in Obama-stan where we are all slaves of the federal government and can be FORCED to purchase anything that the king orders.
If anyone was thinking about sitting out the election in November then I pray to God you will re-consider. If we lose in November and King Obama wins re-election then I have no doubt that he will continue to shred the U.S. Constitution one article at a time and we many never have another election again.
This has been a terrible week for Liberty and Freedom. First the states were forced to stop enforcing their immigration laws and now we are all made to be slaves to the federal government for our health care.
I'm stunned.
God help us.

Obama-stan
Chris-
I wish I could say I was stunned. Extremely disappointed, yes, but this ruling did not come as a shock. But considering that the second worse president of my lifetime installed Judge Roberts, how can we expect that he would be any better?
Worthy of note was that Elena Kagan, despite her efforts in the Obama administration to pass Obamacare, did not recuse herself. That should be an impeachable offense. Doubt it will happen.
I also wish I could say that Romney is the cure. For me, that strains credulity. He has stood for everything and nothing. How can we rely on anything he says, when his history is so full of contradictions? IF he is elected, I predict just what I did when Obama was elected: more of the same. More lies, more wars, more spending more debt, more transgressions of our liberties and our constitution.
There are only two means to stop this that I can see. The first is armed revolution. However, I can not see that ending favorably, and besides, the electorate is hardly unified enough to restore the constitutional republic we once had, and need more than ever. There is no substitute for an educated electorate with a good moral compass.
The second means is to elect a strong and brave state legislature that will stand up to the feds, and nullify this and any other law that does not comport with a strict construction of the constitution.
If I find the time, I will explicate further.
