I originally thought about reminding readers that Ron Kind helped bring us bailouts, stimulus spending, government controlled health care, and cap and trade legislation.

Instead I decided that I will focus this letter on why I support Dan Kapanke.

Dan is one of the most honorable men I have met. Perhaps it comes from growing up on a farm and learning the importance of hard work and a man's word.

Maybe his character was forged during his service as a United States Marine.

Perhaps he learned these traits as a seed salesman traveling around our local farm communities and making a living by serving those who provide us with food.

Maybe his moral character was fine tuned when he became a business owner and brought the Loggers to La Crosse to help improve our community.

Whatever the reason, Dan Kapanke is a man of honor and integrity with a lifetime of experience that is desperately needed in the halls of Congress where common sense is no longer a common virtue.

I am supporting Dan Kapanke because of his character and experience.  We need more common-sense citizens and fewer career politicians and Dan Kapanke is the type of person that will work tirelessly on our behalf.  I am confident that he will take his common sense, conservative ideas to Congress and help to reign in the out-of-control spending that is going to bankrupt our country.  I hope you will join me in voting for Dan Kapanke on election day.
