Ron Kind Continues to Bribe the Voters

With unemployment at record levels, several small businesses closing their doors, prices for many goods and services rising, it is amazing to me that politicians like Ron Kind continue to bribe voters with stimulus money that came out of our own pockets.

We try and try to make Ron Kind understand that we want him to stop spending our money so frivolously.  We call his office.  We write letters to the papers.  We show  up at Tea Parties.  We show up at his town hall meetings.  We show up at his telephone conferences.  We tell him over and over again that we do not want the government to spend our children and grandchildren into debt before they are even born.  Yet he continues the same old political tactic of bragging about the tax money he is able to get back into our communities after sucking much of it out of our paychecks to begin with.

Never forget that every single dollar that the government spends was once a dollar that an American taxpayer first had to EARN but then was taken from him or her.

WASHINGTON, DC – U.S. Rep. Ron Kind (D-WI) today announced that the City of Mauston has been selected to receive two water system improvement grants from the United States Department of Agriculture, funded through the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009.

“I am pleased that Mauston is receiving this funding,” said Rep. Kind. “The grants will help provide for improvements to Mauston’s water infrastructure so that the city might be able to provide high quality drinking water and take care of the local environment.”

Why can't the City of Mauston pay for their own water system?  If they don't have the money for it then why won't they re-allocate funds in order to make the water system a priority?  Why can't they be good stewards and list their priorities from highest importance to lowest and then allocate dollars until there is none left?  Then, when the money runs out they either re-prioritize to get something done or they simply don't do it and wait until resources are available?  That is the way it works in my family.  That is the way it works in my company.  Why are governments allowed to play by different rules that force our future generations into debt?
