Looking forward to the upcoming 3rd Congressional District "Debate"/Forum on Tuesday, October 30th from 7pm - 8pm at the Port O' Call, Cartwright Center on the UW-La Crosse Campus. The debate is sponsored by UW-L, the La Crosse Tribune, WXOW-TV, WKBT-TV, the League of Women Voters and WLSU Radio.

The format will be relatively informal. First, each candidate will get 3 minutes for an opening statement. Second, each candidate can then respond to the other's opening statement (about 1 minute). This will be followed by a Question & Answer Session. Questions will come from a panel made up of representatives of the co-sponsors. Written questions from the audience will be interspaced with questions from the panelists. Order of responses will be rotated. Each candidate will have 1:30 minutes to respond to questions. Short rebuttals will be allowed if requested by a candidate. Lastly, each candidate will be allowed about 2 minutes for a closing statement. The event will not run past 8:00pm

I urge all of you to attend the event if you can. A large group of supporters would be greatly appreciated and you can help distribute campaign literature. This is the only true debate that I will have with my opponent and, with it being this close to election day, it is a very important event!
