Fighting Against a Takeover of the Government

I stopped down at the La Crosse GOP headquarters for their re-opening rally and I was very impressed with the turnout. There must have been at least 150 people packed into that place while about 2 dozen Marxists protested us across the street. Kudos to the LCRP leadership for doing such a good job.

After hearing some great speeches about defending our principles I decided to head down to the convention center gun show to hang out at the T.E.A Party table and chat with the great Americans who believe in the Second Amendment.

It was very interesting to get all the various perspectives from the people at those events. There were a few people at the convention center who did not agree with Governor Walker but not a single one of the people I spoke to liked the effort to recall him. I heard the term 'sour grapes' and 'poor losers' several times from various people and I had a lengthy conversation with one gentleman who happened to sit on one of the area school boards.

He went into great detail about his experience trying to negotiate with teacher's unions over the years and how unwilling they were to budge on their cadillac health insurance coverage even if compromising would have led to higher paychecks for the teachers themselves. It makes me wonder if the teachers realize that their union leaders really don't work for them but for their own political agenda. He expressed tremendous gratitude to Governor Walker for giving school boards like his the tools they can now use to find competitive health insurance rates instead of being locked into the ridiculous rates that WEAC forced on them.

Competition is good for everyone and now that school boards aren't handcuffed guess whose insurance rates are starting to come down to a more reasonable rate? Yup, WEAC itself is lowering their own rates in order to compete with other insurance companies now that they cannot wield the hammer of collective bargaining in all the negotiations. It makes me wonder how much waste taxpayers were forced to subsidize over all the years when corruption was rewarded.

Another theme that came up several times was the rhetorical question, "Didn't we just have an election? Why do we need to spend $9 million on another one?"

It was nice to see that there are many, many others in our community who don't believe the propaganda being peddled by the Democrats and the union leaders. Even hard working members of some of the unions think it is ridiculous to attempt to overthrow the government in this manner just because a very vocal minority of voters disagree.

I refer to this effort as a Neo-Marxist Revolution. I know many people think that sounds too extreme but lets review some of the historical facts:

1. Karl Marx wrote extensively about the struggle between the classes. He argued that it is natural and healthy for the working class to oppose the ruling class and for societies to be divided in this manner. I distinctly remember a John Edwards speech (Democrat vice presidential candidate) when he compared the "have's and the have-not's" in an attempt to divide America.
2. Karl Marx also wrote about the working class rising up to seize the means of production from the owners. Isn't that the same thing as over-taxing "the rich" in an attempt to "spread the wealth around" as President Obama has suggested?
3. The Occupy Wall Street movement is a perfect example of the application of these Marxist philosophies. We are told that "the 99%" need to put an end to the prosperity that was earned by the 1% and they used violence and force to make their points.

The Democrat Party and their Blue Fisters are using Marxist philosophies to change the outcome of a fair election that was held in 2010. How is that not a government takeover or Neo-Marxist Revolution?

One of my favorite conversations of the day was about the traditions that make America the greatest nation on Earth. We were comparing the Marxist philosophies of the Democrats and their allies with the traditional values of conservative Republicans and T.E.A. Party members. Marxist philosophy generalizes everyone as a certain type of person and creates policies to keep them in those circumstances. For instance, if you are flipping burgers at age 15 to help earn a living then you will always be flipping burgers and the Marxists will just create government programs to help you make ends meet. On the contrary, conservative Republicans believe in liberty and every individual's right to determine their own circumstance. I use my own life as an example. At age 15 I was washing dishes and busing tables at a small restaurant and baling hay during the summers to earn a living and save up for college. I also worked at a fast food restaurant, a window and door factory, as a security guard, and as a general worker for a construction company until I gained enough experience with computers to get a full time and well paying job as a software developer. But I'm not done yet. When I have saved up enough I will eventually leave the corporate world to start my own business and I fully anticipate working hard to become a successful business owner someday.

If it were up to the Marxists then I would still be flipping burgers and I would be forced to just accept that as my lot in life. Thank God we live in America where upward mobility is still possible (though much more difficult due to the big government intrusions that have been thrust upon us). Governor Walker understands this concept of individual freedom and less government intrusion and that is why he is trying to reform government to be leaner so that individuals will have less barriers to overcome in their own lives.

Many people define the American Dream in their own way. My definition is to maintain or regain the freedom to excel to my highest potential without an overbearing government looking over my shoulder at every turn and telling me how to live my life.

Governor Walker's Recall

I live in Arizona but I'm working for Governor Walker to input the recall names into a database to verify. I'm hoping and praying that enough people get off their duffs and vote for Governor Walker if the recall, in fact, happens.

God Bless You....

... and thanks for your help. There are about 5000 people ready and raring to go in this effort to defend our government from the Neo-Marxist takeover. It appears that we have about 1 million Marxists to stand up to but I firmly believe that our principles of freedom and individual liberty are powerful enough to defeat this coup.
