What the Tribune won't tell you about Kapanke v. Kind campaign finance

Maybe I missed it. I searched the La Crosse Tribune website and could not find the electronic version of an article by reporter Samantha Marcus. The story in the print edition for Saturday, 9/4/10 had a story buried on the front page of the D section below the fold entitiled Kind maintains wide fundraising lead.

Why would the Tribune want to bury a story like this and not post it electronically for people to submit comments? Why won't the Tribune tell the entire story of how Dan Kapanke has a commanding lead in the Individual Contributions category? Why won't the Tribune tell you that roughly $3 out of every $4 Ron Kind receives in Individual Contributions come from outside the district he represents? Why does the Tribune continually marginalize Dan Kapanke by omitting simple facts such as over 90% of contributions made to Kapanke for Congres come from inside Wisconsin's 3rd Congressional District and 99% of the money Dan has received during the election cycle has come from individual donors?

Is it lazy reporting? Or is it because the Tribune is pro-Kind?

You be the judge.
