Still Think Ron Kind is Fiscally Responsible with Your Hard-Earned Tax Dollars?
I have written before about Ron Kind's record of reckless spending and utter irresponsibility regarding the stewardship of our hard-earned tax dollars. As I have mentioned on previous occassions, Ron Kind will talk about responsibility in front of the local tv cameras and radio microphones when he is here in Western Wisconsin but his voting record is an entirely different story. I'm sure you've seen the reports where he claims to be a budget hawk or that he is calling on the government to be more disciplined or that he saved the taxpayers $1 million from his office budget.
Unfortunately for those of us who pay taxes, however, when he returns to Washington (which is nearly 80% of the time these days) he consistently votes to stick it to us and our pocket books.
Today I was informed about another opportunity that Ron Kind had to actually practice what he preaches. You may have heard of the incredibly wasteful practice of our government to purchase signs dotting the nation that alert passersby of the use of our tax dollars from the stimulus program. This is an obvious attempt by the federal government to deceive you into thinking that the stimulus is actually helping to create jobs even though unemployment continues to linger around 10%. It is simply propaganda to fool you and there was an effort in Congress to cut that funding and force federal agencies to report on their true cost which is currently hidden but estimated to be tens of millions of your tax dollars.
It is unfortunate that Ron Kind chose to side with the waste merchants by voting against this effort to reign in the black hole of federal spending. It isn't surprising, however, considering that he defied the will of the people and helped support the stimulus in the first place. He took his orders from Nancy Pelosi like a good little Democrat lemming and helped continue to waste your money. He apparently thinks that we are dumb enough to believe that his $1 million office savings compares in some way to the trillions of dollars in waste that he helped support during his time in the House of Representatives.
It is time for him to find a new profession. He does not represent the common sense values of Western Wisconsin. He does not serve the people. It is clear to me that he serves only himself and his liberal Democrats in power. This is just one of many reasons why I am supporting Dan Kapanke to replace him.
Dan is a seed salesman/ball club owner/state senator who has the courage to face voters and find out what we care about so that he can serve us to the best of his ability. I pray you will join me by visiting his web site and giving him your support as well.
