A Simple Commonsense Bill

For years, I've been advocating for the bipartisan Prevent Government Shutdowns Act, which would eliminate the threat of a government shutdown. Instead of politicans threatening to shutdown the government, we would just spend at last year's levels.

What could be more common sense and reasonable than that? Prevent Government Shutdowns Act should pass 100-0. It would start us down the road to fiscal sanity and a better functioning congress.

Watch below for my interview on Fox Business about this bill.

While there is a lot of noise in Washington, DC, let me be clear about this: our U.S. military servicemembers are not bargaining chips. While my colleagues and I work to prevent a government shutdown, I have also been speaking out on the importance of passing the Department of Defense Appropriations Bill, which fully funds our military and provides a historic pay raise to active-duty servicemembers.

Just a few months ago, Governor Evers slashed the largest tax cut in state history, turning $3.5 billion in tax relief into less than $175 million in income tax relief for Wisconsin families. Unlike the Governor, Assembly Republicans believe Wisconsin taxpayers should keep their money in their pockets, not the government's checkbook.

On Labor Day weekend I joined seven other Conservative grass-roots activists to “meet and greet”, or rather, interview and interrogate, a potential candidate for U.S. Senate. Four of the interviewers were Chairmen of their respective County Republican Parties and the other four were dependable, member-leaders of their County Republican Parties. There were several things to take-away from this two hour session, maybe the first was the potential candidate wanted “less speech and more conversation”.

After a month of work in the district, members of Congress returned to Washington this week, and House Republicans wasted no time on getting to work.

On Tuesday, Speaker Kevin McCarthy officially launched an impeachment inquiry into President Joe Biden. This comes after multiple whistleblowers came forward to uncover serious and credible allegations that the Biden family engaged in a disturbing pattern of corruption.

So, what is an inquiry and what is the evidence?

How They are Ruining Our Economy

America has been attacked by Domestic terrorism, and America's President is fully behind them. This is called an Autoworkers Strike, but it seems these people are well paid, and have great benefits. They are holding out for close to a 40 percent wage increase, and they want to work less hours. More pay and fewer work hours leads to less productivity, which leads to a higher cost and makes our products more expensive. Public search shows that many so-called American autos are made in Mexico, and the average pay there is $4 an hour.

Defending our Freedoms

I hate to say it, but I knew this would happen.

New COVID mask mandates are starting to pop up across the country.

As kids return to school, we need to be honest and realize we noticed masks didn't work, particularly for children. We always knew they didn't work for kids.

Whether it's forced vaccinations or mask mandates, we cannot back down from defending our freedoms.

The Biden Administration’s COVID policies were a complete failure and we cannot allow them to deny our freedoms once again.

Investing in Mental Health

September is Suicide Prevention Month and serves as a poignant reminder that, in the midst of life's changes, we must be vigilant in offering support, understanding, and hope to those in need. May this month inspire us to lend a helping hand to those in distress, reinforcing the belief that every life is precious, and no one should suffer alone.

Republicans know the importance of adequate mental health resources and the pervasiveness of the mental health crisis in Wisconsin and across the country, which is why our budget made critical investments through several initiatives.
