This month, the Assembly held four floor sessions, advancing several key bills that will help keep Wisconsin moving forward. My bill, Assembly Bill 542, passed the Assembly with strong bipartisan support! AB 542 protects dental providers by safeguarding their contracts and ensuring transparency, while also protecting patients by strengthening accountability and preserving access to quality dental care.

During the January 22nd Assembly session, I was proud to honor Tyson Koput as a Hometown Hero!

In 2023, Tyson and Julia Koput founded the Big Band Bash, a fundraiser supporting the Tomah Middle and High School Jazz Bands. What began as a way to support an unfunded extracurricular program has grown into a sold-out annual event, raising over $33,000 to benefit more than 100 student musicians through new music, equipment, and professional jazz instruction.

Beyond music education, Tyson and Julia continue to give back to our community by supporting youth athletics, sponsoring team meals and events, hosting fundraisers, and creating opportunities that build confidence, teamwork, and valuable life skills for our students. Thank you for making a lasting impact on Tomah and our youth!

Last week, I had the pleasure of meeting with several Farm Bureau constituents during their annual Ag Day at the Capitol. I always appreciate the opportunity to connect with constituents in Madison, and I’m grateful they took the time to visit!

So glad I was able to attend the WI National Guard Association (WINA) Legislative Meet & Greet at the Wisconsin Veterans Museum last week!

Grateful for the opportunity to connect with leaders and members to discuss shared legislative priorities that strengthen our service members, veterans, and communities across Wisconsin.

Finally, I had the opportunity to meet with members of Family, Career, and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) from Alma Center and Black River Falls High Schools. It was wonderful to connect with these young leaders and learn more about their organization and the impactful service projects they are involved in!
