MAKE WISCONSIN HEALTHY AGAIN
Last Monday, I was honored to welcome the Secretary of Health and Human Services, Robert F. Kennedy Jr., to Gilbertson's family farms in Elk Mound, Wisconsin, to celebrate the start of DAIRY MONTH! We engaged in a series of discussions focused on improving rural healthcare, supporting our communities, and delivering for Wisconsin farmers.
Under President Trump and Secretary Kennedy, HHS is putting the health of the Americans FIRST! After years of failed public health policies and government overreach, this administration is focused on addressing chronic disease, promoting healthier lifestyles, increasing transparency, and supporting communities like our own that feed our nation.
Thanks to President Trump and Secretary Kennedy, Americans are seeing a renewed focus on:
- Boosting rural healthcare through a proposed $20 BILLION investment in rural health facilities
- Creating a $10 BILLION Rural Transformation Fund to strengthen rural communities and healthcare access
- Bringing whole milk and real food back to schools through the WHOLE MILK FOR HEALTHY KIDS ACT
- Encouraging more students to pursue an education in veterinary medicine to support American agriculture
- Investing $100 MILLION to combat homelessness, fight opioid addiction, and improve public safety by expanding treatment that emphasizes recovery and self-sufficiency
- Conducting the LARGEST EVER targeted testing of infant formula sold in the United States as part of Operation Stork Speed
I am continuing to fight in Congress to ensure that Wisconsin farmers, families, and rural communities have the support and opportunities they deserve.
As a member of the House of Agriculture Committee, I remain committed to advancing policies that strengthen Wisconsin Agriculture, protect our family farms, expand economic opportunities in rural communities, and reduce any unnecessary federal regulations that burden hardworking Wisconsinites.
