Happy New Year! As we step into 2026, we thank God for each of you who came alongside us and made real transformation in Wisconsin possible in 2025 through your prayers and partnership. Together with you, we’re ready to build on that momentum. “The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases… great is your faithfulness.” (Lamentations 3:22–23)

Here’s what’s ahead for Wisconsin Family Action and Wisconsin Family Council in 2026:

Spring Supreme Court election: This spring, the people of Wisconsin will decide who wins a seat on the state Supreme Court. The race is between self-proclaimed liberal Chris Taylor, a former lobbyist for Wisconsin’s largest abortion provider, and self-proclaimed independent Maria Lazar. We’ll equip you with timely resources and key dates so you can pray, stay informed, and participate in this vital election.

Legislative finish line: As the 2025-2026 legislative session nears its end, we’re advancing legislation that honors God, cherishes life, promotes human flourishing, and safeguards religious freedom. This includes protecting children online, providing conscience protection for professionals and ministries, strengthening parental rights, and ensuring houses of worship remain free.

LEAD Wisconsin growth: We’re expanding our program to reach campers not only during the week of camp, but throughout the year and beyond. This is a two-fold approach:

  • Our Ambassador Program is a year-long mentorship opportunity that equips teens to grow and live out biblical leadership in their schools and communities.
  • The LEAD Alumni Network creates opportunities to equip LEAD WI graduates, ages 18 and older, with ongoing training, service opportunities, and pathways into public, church, and community leadership.

America Reads the Bible: In April, we’re mobilizing churches and communities across Wisconsin for a statewide public reading of Scripture. During this event, we’ll lift God’s Word over our state and invite folks across our state and the nation to return to our foundations in Scripture. Watch for more information on how your church can host or participate.

WFC Gala: Wisconsin Family Council will be hosting a gala to honor the organization’s 40th anniversary and celebrate what God has already done and will do through WFC in 2026. We’ll share inspiring stories, honor partners, and cast our vision for the future. We’d love to have you join this event on Friday, May 1st, in Pewaukee; more details to follow.

Fall gubernatorial election: This fall, the people of Wisconsin will elect a new governor. We’ll provide nonpartisan voter guides, church toolkits, and reminders for key deadlines so voters across the state can stay informed and engaged.

Thank you for standing with us in our pursuit of a Wisconsin where God is honored, life is cherished, families thrive, and religious freedom flourishes. Your partnership turns our vision into impact.

Please join us in praying for our leaders, the spring and fall elections, our legislative work, and the next generation we’re equipping through LEAD Wisconsin.

P.S. January is Sanctity of Human Life Month, and January 18th is Sanctity of Human Life Sunday. Every person is made in God’s image. We encourage you to take time this month to reflect on the value of human life.
