I was proud to join my Senate Republican colleagues yesterday in introducing legislation that would return the state’s surplus to its rightful owners: the hard-working taxpayers of Wisconsin.

Senate Bill 1 would result in a one-time $1,000 income tax rebate for married joint filers and a $500 income tax rebate for individual filers.

A public hearing on the legislation is being held today at 1:15 p.m. in front of the Senate Agriculture and Revenue Committee. I chair that committee and am a co-author of SB 1.
