Wisconsin needs a Dam Man
Before I ever stepped foot in a legislative chamber, I had already spent years working as a dam tender on the Willow Flowage.
It’s a job that doesn’t come with much fanfare, but it does come with a lot of responsibility.
When you’re responsible for the flow of the water, you learn pretty quickly that you can’t argue with reality!
And if there’s a leak in the structure, you don't give a speech about it – you grab your tools, and you fix it.
Right now, I look at our state, and I see a lot of people who have forgotten what it means to be responsible to the folks downstream.
While Wisconsin families are trying to balance their own checkbooks, the bureaucracy in Madison has drained your pocketbook.
Look, I’m not running for Governor because I want a fancy title.
I’m running because I think Madison could use a little more of the quiet, practical common sense we use every day in the Northwoods.
And if you believe that a little hard work and humility can go a long way in fixing what's broken in our nation, I’d be honored to have you on this team.
I pray I can count on you when it matters most.
