Pfaff Marches to Orders from Madison, Obstructs PFAS Relief Again

State Sen. Brad (“PFAS Pfaff”) was given an opportunity today that elected officials rarely enjoy: a do-over. But instead of doing the right thing for the people of the 32nd Senate District, he once again chose his radical Madison friends and rejected PFAS relief that residents of the Town of Campbell and throughout the Coulee Region are counting on. The vote was part of Senate Republicans’ effort to override Gov. Tony Evers’ politically motivated veto of Senate Bill 312, which the Governor has cynically used as a part of a political messaging campaign in advance of this fall’s elections.

A little over a year ago, the Wisconsin Supreme Court ruled that drop boxes for absentee ballots were illegal based on state law. However, Democrats have recently asked the high court to reconsider that decision. Attorney General Josh Kaul filed a brief in this case arguing the law allows drop boxes because in 2021, 570 drop boxes were placed across 66 of Wisconsin’s 72 counties and the share of Wisconsin voters casting an absentee ballot increased significantly.

The Joint Legislative Audit Committee approved a full audit of all DEI policies and how they are employed across state agencies this week. This audit will be broad in scope and will take the nonpartisan Legislative Audit Bureau many months to complete. They estimate their work will go in to 2025. You can read their memo to the Audit Committee on what the audit could include here.

My Democrat opponent Tammy Baldwin just came out in full support of Joe Biden’s plan to allow Palestinian refugees from Gaza into the United States.

This plan is not only a bad idea, it’s a dangerous one!

Wisconsin residents are already struggling under the weight of Biden’s failures. Now, they want to spend even more taxpayer dollars on refugees who could pose a severe risk to national security.

The RNC Committeeman position is a role designed to keep the GOP leadership at the national level connected and engaged with the grassroots of the state GOP.

Duties include taking part in the election of the chair and co-chair positions of RNC leadership and guiding the establishment of national policies and a party platform. But their most important duty, as mentioned above, is to be an ambassador for our state and a conduit of information exchange between our grassroots party members and the national leadership.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Congressman Derrick Van Orden’s (WI-03) Veterans Education Transparency and Training (VETT) Act passed the House. The VETT Act simplifies the process for veterans enrolling in higher education by modifying educational form requirements and establishing an online portal through the Secretary of Veterans Affairs to serve as a comprehensive resource center for trainings available to veterans through School Certifying Officials (SCOs).

Prior to its passage, Rep. Van Orden spoke on the House Floor in support of the VETT Act.

Government Weaponization

The federal government is completely out of control. Unfortunately, most members of Congress are not interested in conducting oversight of the largest financial entity in the world. We are plundering and mortgaging our children’s future with reckless abandon. It is immoral, and this must be stopped.

That was just one of the issues I talked about as a featured speaker at the Oversight Project's Weaponization of Government Symposium on April 9.
