Josh Kaul attacked religious freedom

I am writing to you in earnest because this is an important issue that should concern everyone. In one of the most disgusting displays of religious intolerance I have ever seen from a public official, Josh Kaul attacked religious freedom yet again.

On October 20th, he filed a brief with the WI Supreme Court arguing to strike down a critical tax-exemption for ALL religious charities who are actively working to help some of our most impoverished and at-risk citizens:

rising property taxes

Wisconsinites are feeling the full impact of Governor Evers’ 400-year property tax increase, created through his veto pen and upheld by the liberal Wisconsin Supreme Court.

I know many of you are opening your property tax bills and feeling blindsided. There is no reason Wisconsin should rank among the top ten for highest property taxes in the U.S. alongside Illinois, New Jersey, and New York. Making Wisconsin affordable starts with ensuring you are never taxed out of your home. As governor, I will end Tony Evers’ 400-year property tax hike and lower your taxes.

As this year winds down and I pause to look back, my heart is full. I’m grateful for you, for the good work witnessed this year, and for the lives touched across Wisconsin. Your partnership helped make that possible, and I want you to understand the weight of that.

Because you stood with us, this year was marked by real impact. Hope reached into the lives of families, churches found confidence to engage their communities, and young leaders stepped into culture with biblical conviction. Every one of those moments carries your fingerprints.

Avoiding Scams and Fraud This Holiday Season

I recently attended a conference for legislators from across the country. One of the topics we discussed was the growing threat of fraud and scams affecting families, businesses, and communities. I found this panel especially interesting and learned a great deal from the discussion. As we head into the holiday season, I wanted to use this week’s column to share some of what I learned.

As we close out the year, I’m reminded exactly why I’m running for Governor: our people, our values, and our promise to the next generation.

Wisconsin should be a place where hard work is rewarded, families can actually afford to stay, and government answers to you - not the bureaucrats. We’ve made real progress this year meeting voters across the state, and we cannot afford to lose momentum now.

The 2026 Governors race will define Wisconsin, and your help today makes a real impact on what we can build tomorrow.

Wisconsin Elections Commission Undermining Election Integrity Efforts

We condemn the Wisconsin Elections Commission's (WEC) decision at its Dec. 11 special meeting to reject a U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) request for full voter registration data needed to help identify and remove non-citizens from Wisconsin's voter rolls. In a 5-1 vote, the bipartisan commission refused to sign a proposed Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) that would have allowed the sharing of sensitive voter information, citing state confidentiality laws as overriding federal authority.

The Governor Who Stole Christmas

Just like the Grinch who hated Christmas, Governor Evers can't stand the idea of families keeping their money. He's the one who slithered and slunk in that infamous 400-year veto, striking digits and dashes to lock in automatic school revenue increases until 2425. While the Grinch tried to steal presents, Evers is stealing from your wallet, driving skyrocketing property taxes that hit families hard right when holiday bills pile up.
