However, with families spending $709 more each month than they did two years ago for the exact same goods and services, it’s understandable that many are concerned about affording these prices over the next few months.
Due to inflation, Americans are spending more while getting less – this is a direct result of years of Washington’s reckless spending.
Inflation is a tax on hardworking Americans’ dollars. In Washington, I’m working to reign in runaway government spending and lower the cost of living. Earlier this year, I was proud to help secure the House passage of the REIN IN Inflation Act and the Lower Energy Costs Act. These will help lower energy costs and stop needless government spending.
