Thank you to everyone who took the time to fill out my Spring Survey. Your feedback is important and helps us address what our constituents are concerned about.

One of the main takeaways is how Governor Evers and his liberal policies are hurting Wisconsin. According to the data, 46% of respondents in the 33rd district believe the state is heading in the wrong direction. Just 5% of respondents believe we are heading in the right direction.

Some more results from the survey show an overwhelming support for common-sense conservative policies.

On Sunday, we kicked off our 5th annual LEAD Wisconsin summer camp for teens all around the state (and even some from out of state!) who are passionate about developing their faith, worldview, and leadership skills.

We are excited to be able to pour into over 125 campers this July. Every year, we are reminded of just how hungry Wisconsin youth are for Christ-centered connections and developing their political and biblical worldview.

A recent Gallup poll shows Americans are becoming more pro-life, especially young adults between 18 and 34, and men in general. The poll shows an increase in those who identify as pro-life, who believe abortion is morally wrong, and who support restrictions on abortion. Since just last year, the percentage of young adults who identify as pro-life has grown by 11%, and the belief that abortion should be legal under any circumstance has fallen by 19% among similar groups.

Last week, the House passed, and President Trump signed into law, the One, Big, Beautiful Bill (OBBB).

This bill is not perfect, but it does secure incredible wins for our farmers, hardworking families, small business owners, seniors, vulnerable populations, and everyone in between. There is a lot of misinformation being spread on the OBBB, and I want to make sure your questions are answered and concerns are addressed.

Below are some frequently asked questions on the OBBB as well as answers that show how this bill works for Wisconsinites and Americans across the country.

On Tuesday, Wisconsin Assembly representatives reintroduced the Born Alive Bill. The bill requires health care providers to give the same care to a child born through a failed abortion that they would give to a child born naturally or by c-section. Although under current law these children have legal rights, this bill strengthens their protection by ensuring that doctors and healthcare staff who intentionally kill these children, or refrain from giving life-saving care, are charged with a felony equal to first-degree intentional homicide.

Bringing Civics to Churches

Earlier this month the Supreme Court of the United States relaxed the seemingly stringent restrictions on freedom of speech and freedom of religion for churches and nonprofit organizations which had been in effect since the 1954 Johnson Amendment. Expressions of opinion on political topics or candidates, particularly when in the broad context of religious teaching, will be treated as freedom of speech and freedom of religion.
