After more than 40 days of chaos caused by the Democrats’ unnecessary, harmful, and utterly foolish shutdown, the federal government is finally reopening.

From day one, House Republicans did our job. We passed clean, responsible funding bills to keep the government open. We voted 15 times to fund the government and keep vital programs running. Fifteen times.

Voting on Election Bills

In-person early voting has grown quickly in recent years. Last October, a record 100,000 Wisconsinites voted two weeks before Election Day. While this participation is encouraging, many smaller communities can’t keep up. Assembly Bill 312 sets minimum standards for in-person voting access without an appointment, ensuring more voters can cast a ballot without having to schedule time with their clerk. Expanding no-appointment voting - while preserving election security safeguards - helps close the gap between urban and rural access.

House vote to release the Epstein files

Today, the House took a necessary step toward full accountability. I voted to release the Epstein files because the American people deserve the truth. From day one, I’ve been clear: anyone who abuses a child should face the ultimate punishment. I have pushed from the very beginning for these files to be made public.

House Republicans have led this investigation at every turn. We have released more than 60,000 pages of documents, made the Barr deposition public, and issued subpoenas to the Justice Department, Bill and Hillary Clinton, the Epstein Estate, and Ghislaine Maxwell.

Wisconsin Becomes First State to Advance Real Safeguards Against Foreign-Linked Online Donations - and no we did not break Capitol rules by taking this picture from the Assembly Gallery - as legislators took the photo and sent it to us after the vote.

On Wednesday, the Wisconsin Assembly took a historic step, passing AB 385 by a 55–42 vote, making Wisconsin the first legislative body in the nation to advance model legislation that can actually stop foreign-sourced political contributions disguised within billions of dollars of unverified credit-card and gift-card transactions.

We live in the great Midwest, so I don't worry too much about what people are doing on the coasts. We live in Wisconsin, so when we talk about Illinois, it's easy to get a superiority complex. That can be a danger in your thinking.

Both the mayor of Chicago and the governor of Illinois, have raised a great fuss about how ICE (Immigration and Customs Enforcement) is arresting criminals. They include in their arguments that ICE is involved in terrorism. They say that ICE is spreading fear in the community.

The Big Picture
Fair and transparent elections are the most fundamental building block of our government. When trust in our elections is undermined by unaccountable bureaucrats, voting rules that favor big cities over rural areas, and voter rolls with thousands of ineligible voters, our whole state suffers.

Josh's Plan
1. Abolish WEC
2. Move all statewide elections to November
3. Establish uniform voting rules
4. Scrub voter rolls
