attending a political caucus
How many of you have experienced attending a political caucus? In this case, I'll be referring to the Republican caucus recently held in Osseo, representing the 3rd district, which consists of
nineteen neighboring Western Wisconsin counties.
It was my first, so I thought I'd share the experience with you.
I hitched a ride with three fellow member friends who happen to be part of La Crosse Counties local party, leaving me the only Trempealeau member in the vehicle. The ride up and back was equally as fulfilling as the event itself. Like minded individuals, sharing their critical thinking skills to provide potential solutions that may help to save America from political Armageddon.
The event started with signing in and name tags at nine. Most of the room buzzed with spirited conversation. Greetings with solid handshakes and hugs from familiar faces while making my way to my counties designated table.
Red, white and blue decorated table markers showed the designated seating patterns boldly displaying each county's name down the sign’s white backdrops.
The meeting was called to order by our new District Chair, Hannah Testin, from Portage, County, with first the Pledge of Allegiance, followed by an invocation prayer.
Roberts Rules of Order were utilized and adhered to conducting all of the business aspects of the caucus. It transported me back to my middle school civics class for a brief moment.
A panel of three Senators and two Assembly Representatives were questioned by 3rd District Vice Chair, Ryan Huebsch. Then came an award ceremony presented to individuals who excelled in their individual efforts on the party’s behalf. Several young Republicans were in attendance. It was awesome to witness them receiving honorary plaques and getting their pictures proudly taken for posterity purposes. These young members will be the faces of our party for years to come. We broke for a wonderful meal, catered and served by the fantastic staff of the Grand Occasions Event Center, in Osseo, followed by more opportunity to network and fellowship with new relationships being built from our common cause. More official business took place that finished off the afternoon, receiving opportunities to elect willing individuals to represent the 3rd District at the State Convention, held in Rothschild, in May.
The event ended with another flurry of mass conversations, some in groups, many one on ones. Business cards being handed out and phone numbers swapped for future contacts and planning.
One might think, as an individual, what can I do, I'm just one person. How can I make any difference in my community? Nothing ever seems to change. With all due respect, you're dead wrong. This group of motivated persons works toward their shared common goal. They want the rule of law and the Constitution followed.
The 3rd District Republican Party members are a strong voice in Wisconsin that keeps Milwaukee and Dane counties heavy populations from determining our fates. We are united and there's always room for one more, so come join with me. It's fun, and it's time for you to get involved.
You can make a significant difference with me.

Great observation Ace!
Yes, we can all make a difference, and we will. One thing I think we have done wrong in the past is being too passive. We need to stand up to the forceful tactics of the left and tell them America has succeeded because we have upheld the Constitution. When we allow that to be constantly eroded, we are slowly sinking into the swamp that we need to drain.
What I find from the left is that they are in this for personal gain, or they don't understand the situation. The people you spent the day with are about doing what is right to save America; that is a massive difference. If we don't accomplish that, we all lose, as well as the world!
Couldn't agree more!
Hello Tom,
I couldn't agree more! I can embellish on a quote I heard Chris Muller say, that the left resembles blood sucking vampires feeding off the essence of a bigger government. All of those people on the streets in La Crosse, protesting, they seem to think they are supporting righteous causes, but their thinking has been skewed by a corrupt media, hellbent on causing America to fall as a Republic. The bread and cheese lines of their future would become their prosperity. All of the elite they chant and sing about paying their fair share will ultimately end up running their world with the masses in tow with servitude. The left truly are enemies of common sense.
