"The Mess the Democrats Made" is not a new phenomenon as it can be traced back to President Lyndon B. Johnson's Great Society in the mid-1960s. It has just compounded over the years. Some quote "Rome wasn't built in a day" to justify the mess can't be immediately cleaned up. I would rather think, as I believe Senator Johnson is saying, we haven't got an unlimited number of days to clean the mess up. We have to "face the facts", "cut the crap", "bite the bullet", "pay the piper", and "get 'er done" and do something dramatic starting now!
Thanks Senator Johnson for fighting for our economic future as we have a country to save!
I don't think I will offend anyone by saying that we have had many republicans who went along with this future-defeating agenda, but I can say the Democrats led the way. It is so sad and destructive that we spend so much money on things that the government should never have been involved with. It is the same old thing; we have eroded our way into the mentality that many programs are necessary and constitutional. Looking at our Constitution alone, we simply can't fund these programs legally.

Yes, we have a mess.
