Derrick Van Orden joined the Coalition of American Veterans in Tomah to decry the abuse and neglect veterans have faced for years at the Tomah VA.

Van Orden, a 26-year Navy veteran, receives all of his health care through the VA. The former Navy SEAL called out the negligence and indifference of Democrat legislators, like Ron Kind, to the struggles faced by veterans attempting to access health care from the VA.

"I would like to thank the Coalition of American Veterans for the important work they have been doing, and continue to do, to make sure the abuses that took place during the Obama-Biden Administration, and under Ron Kind’s watch, are never repeated," said Van Orden. "I will continue to work with them to ensure all future generations of warriors who have risked their lives to defend our nation are rest assured when they walk through the doors of any Veterans Administration hospital. America's heroes must receive the best health care in the world."

Van Orden stands with the veterans who will be protesting the Democratic National Convention in Milwaukee. He will support reducing the red tape veterans face to get access to health care through the VA when he is in Washington.
