SCOTUS Hears Case on Parental Rights
The US Supreme Court heard oral arguments on Tuesday for the case Mahmoud v. Taylor. The suit was brought against a Maryland school board for teaching pro-LGBTQ curriculum without parental consent or the ability to opt-out. The plaintiffs argued that this practice violated the Free Exercise Clause in the First Amendment citing a previous decision, Wisconsin v. Yoder. The Supreme Court’s decision in this case will set an important precedent for the future of parental rights across the country.
In Yoder the Supreme Court determined parents’ religious beliefs, in that case Amish beliefs, trumped compulsory attendance laws. This current case similarly deals with government overreach regarding the fundamental right of parents to guide the religious beliefs and the education of their children. The Supreme Court should heed the precedent and side with liberty.
In one amicus brief, written in support of parental right's, the Counsel rightly argued, "When school officials decide to propagandize from the lectern, parents have a right to object and to exempt their children from that instruction. Such a modest request to protect such fundamental rights should be granted."

I love people who stand up for what is right!
I have an additional take on this. This school should be charged with sexual assault. To expose our young people to this before they have reached an age of maturity confuses these people, especially when it comes sanctioned by their school. These young people have some respect for the teacher and the school, so that weighs heavily on their perspective. They don't know what is normal, they are at school to learn.
