**Delegates Endorse Gubernatorial Candidate and Statewide Slate in Show of Party Unity**

WISCONSIN DELLS — The Republican Party of Wisconsin held its 2026 State Convention on May 18, bringing together delegates from across the state in a display of party unity and determination to reclaim the governor's office this November.

The convention, held at the Kalahari Resort in Wisconsin Dells, featured speeches from national and state Republican leaders, including former Governors Scott Walker and Tommy Thompson, U.S. Senator Ron Johnson, and U.S. Representatives Brian Steil, Derrick Van Orden, Scott Fitzgerald, Glenn Grothman, and Tony Weid. The event culminated in the unanimous endorsement of Tom Tiffany for governor, along with endorsements for Attorney General Eric Toney, Secretary of State Nate Polnow, and State Treasurer John Leiber.

Tom Tiffany, the Republican nominee for governor, outlined his vision for Wisconsin during his address to delegates. Tiffany criticized the current administration's handling of property taxes, utility rates, and education standards, pledging to end the 400-year property tax increase on day one if elected.

"Wisconsin should be the best state in America to raise a family, start a business, build a career, and live the American dream," Tiffany said. "And we're going to make that happen."

Tiffany emphasized the need for strong voter turnout and grassroots engagement, noting that success would require every volunteer, county party, and concerned citizen to participate in the campaign effort.

Party Leaders Sound Alarm on Democratic Agenda

Senator Ron Johnson delivered a lengthy address warning delegates about the Democrat Party's plans should they gain control of state government. Johnson discussed the importance of election integrity, the filibuster debate in the Senate, and the need for Republican unity to prevent what he characterized as a radical leftist agenda.

Former Governor Tommy Thompson, who served as Wisconsin's longest-serving governor, drew parallels between his administration and Tiffany's candidacy, both representing outsiders willing to challenge the establishment in Madison. Thompson emphasized the stakes of the election, warning that without Republican leadership, Wisconsin could follow the path of Minnesota and Illinois toward higher taxes and expanded government.

Focus on Election Integrity and Voter Mobilization

A significant portion of the convention focused on election integrity, with Congressman Brian Steil discussing his investigation into ActBlue and efforts to strengthen election security measures. The party also emphasized the need to register and mobilize conservative voters who have not yet participated in recent elections.

National Committeewoman Pam Travis urged delegates to expand the movement by recruiting new volunteers and reaching out to communities beyond traditional Republican strongholds.
