Testin on the Trail

As we approach the three-month mark leading up to the RPW State Convention on May 20, our campaign is traveling the state to meet and hear from delegates, like you, in all corners of Wisconsin!

Every week brings another county and another group of grassroots Republicans that are ready to get to work to FIRE Tony Evers this November. It is undeniable that the momentum on the ground is on our side, and I am ready to put in the hard work as your nominee for Lt. Governor and help get our Republican ticket over the finish line.

No need for police oversight board

The La Crosse County Board continues to pursue the creation of a police oversight board. The creation of this board represents an overreaction to the George Floyd incident in Minneapolis. We don’t have a problem with police shootings. We do have a problem with rising violent gun related crime.

The people of La Crosse County don’t support the creation of this board. The county surveyed 1,400 people but never announced the results. A freedom of information act request to obtain those results shows 70% of respondents oppose the idea.

The VOTE4 team of four school board candidates includes Amy Lopez, Pat McKenna, Marla Leverich, and Jason Perry. The VOTE4 candidates decided to team up together because they share the same philosophy in 4 key areas. They realize they need to work together in order to change the direction of the school board to improve the education and administration of students in the Sparta Area School District.

The Great, Big Lie

I have the data. The evidence is clear. The vast majority of citizens living within the Coulee Region are in FULL SUPPORT OF LAW ENFORCEMENT and do NOT desire to defund the police in any way, shape, or form. The results of last year's Police Oversight Committee Survey prove it.

Unfortunately, leaders of the La Crosse County Board of Supervisors have decided to deceive the people.

This devious cabal led by Monica Kruse with the support of Steve Doyle has chosen to mis-characterize the results and promote the great, big lie.

Wisconsin, there is A Better Way Forward—

When we retire Tony Evers in November and put conservatives back in control of the Badger State, we will have a lot to get done!

We'll need a Lieutenant Governor who has proven they're willing to put in the hard work and can assist our new Republican Governor to get Wisconsin back on track.

Tony Evers will be leaving a mess that Republican leaders will have to solve, and these are a few of the areas I am ready to get to work on in 2023:

We need NEW leadership

From the Holmen School District all the way up to the White House with bureaucrats like Dr. Fauci, it is clear that the only science our current leadership cares about is Political Science. For several months, scientists studying virology have released multiple studies proving that masks have little to no impact on the spread of COVID-19. In addition, there is ZERO evidence that children are at great risk, and yet, local leaders on the Holmen School Board are still mandating that children wear masks.

Democrat Legislator Deletes Anti-Parent Tweet After Backlash

Today, Democrat State Representative and Wisconsin Democrat Party leader Lee Snodgrass channeled Paris Hilton to gaslight parents about their concerns with transparency in their children’s curriculum.

In the now-deleted tweet, Snodgrass advised parents – whose taxpayer dollars already support public schools – to home school their children or pay for private school tuition if they want to have a say in their children’s education.

I'm running for Governor

My name is Kevin Nicholson. I am a husband, father of three, businessman, and combat veteran of the United States Marine Corps (Iraq: 2007; Afghanistan: 2008-2009) – and I’ve served as the volunteer President of No Better Friend Corp. for the last few years. I am a conservative businessman and, much like President Trump, a political OUTSIDER. I am here to get the job done and fix what is broken in Wisconsin.

I am running for Governor of Wisconsin – and I hope you will join me along the way.

Democrats Promote Racism in Schools

In another Friday veto, last week Tony Evers rejected Republicans’ bill to ban critical race theory from Wisconsin public schools. It’s no wonder that Evers tried to conceal his support for this racist ideology, as teachings of critical race theory have garnered opposition from 74 percent of Americans, and Terry McAuliffe’s refusal to acknowledge CRT’s existence contributed to his defeat in Virginia’s gubernatorial election.

Transparency and Accountability

Under the current administration, Wisconsin has become less accountable and less transparent; Rep. Tony Kurtz (Wonewoc) and I have introduced two bills to reverse that trend.

The first bill would reinstate the requirement that state agencies develop publicly available on-line dashboards to report the performance of their core functions. Governor Walker first ordered the creation of these dashboards in 2016, but the current administration has abandoned the practice.

Celebrating Black History Month

The state Capitol celebrates a prominent Wisconsin African American trailblazer, Vel Phillips. In November, the State Capitol and Executive Residence Board approved the statute of Phillips. It is expected to be placed on the Capitol grounds at the corner of West Main Street and South Carroll Street in late 2022 or early 2023.

In 1951, Velvalea Phillips became the first African American woman to graduate from the University of Wisconsin-Madison Law School, and in 1956, she became the first woman and first African American on the Milwaukee Common Council.
