One of my priorities as your Member of Congress is keeping you informed of what I’m learning.

Last week, I traveled to the southern border alongside Speaker Kevin McCarthy and three of my House of Representatives freshman colleagues to see the border crisis firsthand. What I saw was shocking. We watched over a dozen illegal immigrants cross the border in real-time.

The border is open, and under President Biden’s policies, every state is a border state. According to Gundersen Health System, La Crosse lost nine people to fentanyl overdoses in January alone, following 1,280 fentanyl deaths statewide in 2021.
