Congressman Tom Tiffany launches campaign for governor of Wisconsin
It has been an honor to represent my friends and neighbors in western and northern Wisconsin in Congress, where I worked alongside President Trump to secure our border and deliver the largest tax cut in history for families, seniors, and small businesses. Now I’m ready to lead for every corner of our state.
Under Democrat leadership in Madison, farms have disappeared, factories have shut down, and our children’s educational results have fallen behind Mississippi. In 2026, Wisconsin will have a choice between opportunity, security, and freedom or following the path of failure seen in Minnesota and Illinois. I will not allow our state to be dragged down that woke and broke road.
As governor, I will freeze property taxes, protect our farmland from Communist China, and fight every day for families, for farmers, and for the hardworking people who make this state great. I will take on the powerful, stand for the commonsense values we share, and deliver real results for every Wisconsinite. Together, we will save Wisconsin and make the Badger State a shining star in America again.
I am a lifelong Wisconsinite. I grew up on a dairy farm in western Wisconsin, milking cows and feeding calves at sunrise. I attended public school, worked my way through UW-River Falls, and went on to be a successful small business owner. Together with my wife Chris, we owned and operated Wilderness Cruises in Wisconsin’s Northwoods for two decades. In addition, I've served as the dam tender on the Willow Flowage for 29 years, earning the nickname of the “dam man.”
From serving as a Town of Little Rice supervisor to representing Wisconsin in Madison and Congress, I have fought for Wisconsin at every level of government. I know how to make government work for the People, not the elite. I have balanced budgets, secured our border, and never backed down when it came to putting Wisconsinites first.
Wisconsin gave me everything—a chance to raise three daughters, start a small business, and live the American Dream. But today that dream is slipping away under Democrat leadership in Madison, and four more years of the same could turn Wisconsin into another Minnesota or Illinois, where families are crushed by rising taxes and opportunities fade. I'm running for governor to make sure every Wisconsin family has the same shot at the American Dream I was given.

We have two great candidates.
My history goes back with Tom Tiffany, who personally got involved in an issue I was involved with, and he worked hard to help. He was not my senator, but he was working for the good of the State. I love both of our candidates, and I will support whoever wins the primary. I beg them both to keep it a very respectful campaign.
