La Crosse County Debt Spiral
At one time La Crosse County paid for roads out of current revenue. The county has been borrowing at least since 2010. This year the debt service on that pile of money will be $3.1 million. Imagine how many miles of roads could be paved with that much money. Why did they borrow it? Because then they could spend the money on nonmandated social programs.

Now even local governments are out of control
Put liberals in charge, and money is easy to spend, it gives them a rush, and they have no grasp of who has to pay or who will have to pay. Again they are hindered by "misplaced compassion"
