Remembering the Kenosha Riots

This week marks the first anniversary of the riots that left Kenosha in ashes.

Fifty businesses were destroyed or damaged. Fires burned while lifetimes of hard work and livelihoods went up in flames. After Governor Evers blamed the police and picked sides, law enforcement requested the governor stop making statements that fuel the protests and make things worse.

The nation has watched with alarm the unfolding chaos in Afghanistan as President Biden pulled the rug out from under the Afghan army, resulting in the Taliban seizing power of the nation in under 240 hours. While the President’s precipitous and poorly planned actions have placed the Afghan people in danger and guaranteed the death and oppression of Afghan women, he has also made our own nation less safe from the threat posed by terrorists.

“Who?” you may ask are Glenn, Tom, & “Fitz”? There have been many well- known trios in our American past. Larry, Moe, and Curly were the Three Stooges. Huey, Dewey, and Louis were Donald Duck’s nephews. Peter, Paul, and Mary were a singing trio. Many American students have read The Three Musketeers by Dumas. Others would talk of The Three Tenors or The Three Amigos. But, who are Glenn, Tom, and “Fitz”?
